Howdy All,

Attached are the stages for Sunday’s match with the Mattaponi Sundowners and the rules for shooting the Josey Wales category. You also have another shooting option, Plainsman. For the Plainsman category you mush have cap and ball pistols, a single shot rifle and a 1887 or double barrel shotgun. Of course, we will be shooting our standard categories as well if you don’t want 1 of the other 3 options.

The temperature keeps changing but we will have tents and fans as needed. The gates will open at 1000, safety meeting at 1200 and shooting starts at 1230.

WPGC will having our monthly DA match on Thursday, September 15, 2022. Course of fire is:

This month’s Double Action will be held on the third Thursday, September 15, 2022. Please check and note your calendar. The second Thursday this month is adjacent to the first Wednesday, making it inconvenient for some. I will send a second reminder next week regarding the match. We will plan on having the original steel DA match.

Great day for a shoot today. 17 shooters was a perfect number for our single bay setup. Stages were challenging and fun written by Potter County Kid who unfortunately was unable to attend.

Congratulations to our 4 clean shooters, Lefty Spurmaker, Major B.S.Walker, Ripsaw, and Tesla Ranger. Cody Maverick was the overall winner for today.

Thanks to everyone for coming out to shoot and helping out with setting up and tearing down.

Hope to see everyone next weekend at the Va State Match hosted by the Cavalier Cowboys.

POTTER AUGUST 27, 2022 MATCH

Howdy All,

It ended up being a good day; warm, not as humid as thought and no rain. Thank you all that helped with set up and tear down.

Congrats to Cody Maverick as Overall Winner of today’s match. Congrats to Beartooth, Carolina Charlies, Cody Maverick, Cotton Connie, Dakota Rambler*, Kid AtHeart, and Single Barrel Sam for shooting CAD.

It sure was good to see Feather and Carolina Charlie again.  Hopefully they will keep coming.

We will be shooting next Saturday. Information will be coming out later.

MATTAPONI SUNDOWNERS results 8-21-22

WPGC will be having a paper silhouette match this Thursday. I am out of town, so Bob Blevins will the Match Director. Come out, support the club and have a good time. Gates will open at 8:30 and the match will begin at 10:00. I’m attaching some guidelines for the match. Look them over to get an idea of what you will be shooting.
