The Mattaponi Sundowners will be shooting this Sunday. Gates will open and 1000, safety meeting at 1200 and shooting starts at 1230.

Attached are the stages written by Major B. S. Walker.

If there are any changes to this match we will send out a notice as soon as possible.  Please keep an eye out for emails.

Well, what a great day for shooting!!  Was glad to see all of y’all there and hope you had a good time. Thanks for all of the help setting up and tearing down.  We must have had a challenging match, even the author (Flatboat) got a “P”.

Congrats to Cody Maverick as overall match winner.  Congrats to our only CAD shooter, Will Sonnet.

Sorry for the “poop” smell, it did get over powering, but we had no control over the farmers.

I know you’ve heard of Christmas in July but have you heard of SNOW in August?  Please look at the picture attached.  Yes, that’s Cockroach picking up brass!

Pungo and Cavalier will be shooting next weekend.  For those of us going to the Virginia State match; travel safe and we will see you there.

Attached are the stages for Saturday’s Mattaponi Sundowners match.  The stages are written by Flatboat Bob.  The gates will open at 0800, safety meeting at 0930 and shooting starts at 1000. 

We will have fans and tents as needed.  The weather is looking good so I’m keeping my fingers crossed that they don’t lie again.  We know the stages will be fun and exciting and with good weather we surely hope to see ya there.  This is the next to last match before Virginia State match with Peppermill shooting on Sunday being the final match before then.

We are sorry to do this but the weather forecast isn’t good; 60% rain at 0900 and by 2 the forecast is 80%.

Attached are the stages for Saturday, July 28, written by Major B.S. Walker.  Gates will open at 0830, safety meeting at 0930, and shootings starts are 1000.

Tents and fans will be up for comfort, as needed.  If there is questionable rain (storms) or a change in dress code, this announcement will be sent out by Friday evening so keep an eye on your email.

The Mattaponi Sundowners will be holding a match this Sunday, July 15.  The gates will open at 1000, safety meeting at 1200 and shooting starts at 1230.  Please try to get there so we are not at the last trying to get the posse’s set up and entered into the computer.  If you are running late, call Sassy at 804-370-4521.  The match is written by Major B.S. Howdy Cowboys and Cowgirls,

We thought you might be interested in the SMOKE ON THE MATTAPONI results.  Some of you will get this twice, sorry.  Here is the note and scores that went to those that shot the match.

FIRST, I WOULD LIKE TO TAKE THIS OPPORTUNITY TO “THANK” ALL OF YOU FOR MAKING THIS MATCH A SUCCESS, FOR ALL OF YOUR WORK DURING THE MATCH AND AFTER THE MATCH.  A special “thanks” to Whiskey Mae for all of the work to register the shooters and get sponsors, to Prairie City Slim and One Eyed Jane for writing such a great match and working  before-during-after the match, Doc Pill Filler-B. S. Walker-Wistful for timing and keeping us straight as much as possible and to Potter for all of the worrying and hard work. Thanks to Wistful for setting up a wonderful lunch.  Thanks to Cody Maverick as our posse’ leader.

Now for the match; (although we can’t reward it) CONGRATS to Doc Pill Filler as Overall match winner, CONGRATS to all of the category winners, and Congrats to Major B. S. Walker, Missouri Marshal, Nutmegger, One Eyed Rooster, Ripsaw, Sassy and Wistful for shooting CAD.

Well this one is in the books.  We will take tomorrow off and then start working on the match for next year.  We hope that all of you enjoyed shooting with us and having fun with all of our Cowboys and Cowgirls.  Our next big next will be the “Shoot For A Cure” on October 21.  We sure do hope to see all of you there and more.
