Howdy all Cowboys and Cowgirls,

It started out as a cold day and ended as a cool day but it could have been much worse with wind or snow.  Thanks to Cody for good stages and I see some needed to practice with the clay and their rifle.  We missed many of you being with us today.  It was good to see Frio Canyon Ranger stop by to visit, too bad he did have some of his wool vest for sale today.

Congrats to Cody Maverick as Overall Match Winner and to Cody Maverick, Major B. S. Walker, Flatboat Bob and One Eyed Jane for shooting CAD.

Next weekend will be Pungo on Saturday and Cavalier on Sunday.  Hope y’all have a good week.

2019 Gathering On The Mattaponi

Howdy all Cowboys and Cowgirls,

The Mattaponi Sundowners will be holding a match on Saturday, Jan. 26. The match is written by Cody Maverick and looks to be fun with choices and challenges.  Gates will open at 0830, safety meeting at 0930 and shooting starts at 1000.

The weather looks cool to start but sunny and warming up to the mid 40’s.  Dress warmly.

Howdy all Cowboys and Cowgirls,

The weather guessers are telling us the rain we be gone by match time on Sunday.  However, with the sharp drop in temperatures throughout the morning and afternoon and wind of 15-20 with higher gusts we have decided to cancel the match on Sunday. 

Our next scheduled match will be Saturday, January 26, 2019.  More details to come on that match.

Mattaponi Sundowners will be shooting this Sunday, Jan. 20.  The gates will open at 1030, safety meeting at 1200 and shooting starts at 1230.  Looks to be a great match written by Major B. S. Walker.

The weather isn’t looking to good for us with another weekend storm coming in on Sunday.  Keep an eye on your email.  If the match is called a NO GO, we will send out a message via email as soon as we can get a good look at the forecast.
