We had a great day of shooting albeit a little muggy. There was the occasional breeze that made it tolerable. The competion was hot and heavy too. Congrats to Nutmegger and Beartooth for winning their respective classes (Open and Cowboy); they also came in last in those categories. Brian Hood took top honors for the Limited Class. Congrats!

Looks like the forecast is for chance of showers in the morning with afternoon thunderstorms. Sounds like the forecast for today. So I’m going to take a chance and say, “lets shoot” for tomorrow. We’ll set up the tents and hope for the best. See you all in the morning.

Hello Shooters!
Well we had a great day of shooting, albeit hot and muggy. The tents and ice water helped. Happy Birthday to the USA and to all a Happy 4th of JULY!!
Here are the scores for the match. Congrats to Vaquero Gambler and Don Fenton who led the Limited and Open Classes, respectively. Kudos also to Preries City Slim, Vaquero Gambler, Dick Davis and Perry Fridley, III for shooting clean.

Shooters!!
We had a great match WED. The weather was great and comradery was super.
We tried the WPGC’s new dueling tree. Although designed for “big boy” rounds, it did well and, I think, everyone enjoyed the challenge. I had originally intended the tree to be the last two stages, but we wanted to check it out before the match to ensure we could tell a hit had occurred. So, rather than take it down to set it up again, we just shot those stages first. It was a real change going back to the 18″ plates after that.
Congrats to Don Fenton as overall winner and top Open shooter and to Bryan Hood leading the Limited shooters. Also, well done to Bob Blevins, Dick Davis, Perry Fridley, and yours truly for shooting clean.
For our next match we will celebrate the 04th of JULY!! Should be fun!!

Our next Rimfire Steel Match will be on WED, 06 JUN. Looks like we’ll have a nice day to shoot. Supposed to be mostly cloudy with temperatures in the mid to high 60s and moderate humidity. That’s sunburn weather! Bring your sunscreen if you are prone to sunburn. So hope to see you all there!

Hi, Shooters!
Finally, here are the scores from our match. We had some technical difficulties getting the scores in the right format, but all is good now.
It was a cold and damp day, but I think we all had fun. Always good to shoot with friends and enjoy each others’ company.
