Howdy,

The SASS Virginia State Blackpowder Shootout (Smoke on the Mattaponi) was completed today with lots of smoke and no rain.

On behalf of West Point Gun Club and the Mattaponi Sundowners, we thank our many generous sponsors and all the Cowboys and Cowgirls who participated in the match.

Thanks to everyone for doing your part in making this match a success.

There are four attachments: 1) clean shooters; 2) category scores; 3) detail scores; and 4) Plainsman side match results.

Mattaponi Sundowners: Sunday Match Results

Howdy to all you Cowpokes, and

Happy Father’s Day to all the Dads, Grand-Dads, & Great-Grand-Dads,

It was a clear sunny day, real nice for today’s match except for the humidity.  The air was still for the first 3 stages but a slight breeze helped us out on the last 3.  There were 16 of us trying to stay in the shade under the canvas.

Congratulations to Dakota Rambler for winning the match and to the two clean shooters – One Eyed Jane and yours truly (Swifty McDraw).

The network is acting up, so I do not have scores ready to send.

The first five finishers were:
Dakota Rambler, Ripsaw, Cody Maverick, Major BS Walker, & Flatboat Bob
The next five (6-10) were:
Kuba Kid, Potter County Kid, Buzzard Bayne, Swifty McDraw, & Wistful McClintock
The next six (11-16) were:
One Eyed Rooster, Kidd At Heart, Atchison Kid, Shinbone, Prairie City Slim, & One Eyed Jane

WPGC Double Action: DA Match Results

It was a lovely day but we had too few shooters to hold the match. We did have one guest and myself who stayed and shot the paper silhouette. See you next month.

A special shout out to our new shooter, Mason! Certainly, glad to see a young person take up the sport. Rob please get this email to Mason as i forgot to get his e-mail.

Vaquero Gambler shared some new rules from higher up compotion. However, we will continue to have Cowboy and a Mechanical categories.
