Shoot for a Cure

The West Point Gun Club and the Mattaponi Sundowners proudly presents:

“The Pat Graves Memorial Shoot For a Cure”

Rasing funds for the Relay For Life / American Cancer Society

The West Point Gun Club and the Mattaponi Sundowners have established an annual fund raising event, “Shoot for a Cure”, with 100% of the proceeds going to the American Cancer Society’s Relay For Life organization.

The event takes place on the 3rd Sunday of October each year at the cowboy action shooting match hosted by the Mattaponi Sundowners and the WPGC. All of the match fees collected are donated as contributions from the individual match participants. During the match numerous donated items are for sale as well as some delicious food items and all of the proceeds are donated. In addition a raffle is held at the end of the match for a collection of donated prizes and again all of the proceeds are donatedshoot_for_cure1. Every single penney collected for this event is donated to the American Cancer Society.

This event was brought to life by Pat Graves, otherwise know to her cowboy friends as Sassy Shooting Sours, and Pat also served as the chief organizer, planner and master of ceremonies. There are several people who’s time, donations and contributions make this event possible but it was Pat’s passion for helping this great cause that was the driving force behind this event.

The West Point Gun Club and the Mattaponi Sundowners would like to thank all of our great cowboy friends and family who have made this event the great success that it is, without all of you it would not be possible, so THANK YOU !!
