The West Point Gun Club offers training NRA Basic Pistol Class – Phase 2
The West Point Gun Club requires all of it’s members to have completed a Firearm Safety Course or the equivalent as part of it’s membership requirements. The NRA Basic Pistol Class is one method of meeting this requirement.
The NRA Basic Pistol Class is divided into two phases with Phase 1 conducted directly by the NRA through an online course and Phase 2 conducted in person by NRA Certified Instructors. Phase 1 must be completed first, a link is provided below. For Phase 1 students must work directly with the NRA, the West Point Gun Club is not involved with this phase of the class.

After completing Phase 1 of the NRA Basic Pistol Class students will be able to proceed to Phase 2. Students are able to take the Phase 2 training with any NRA Certified Instructor that is offering the class. A link to the NRA Training site is provided below, students can search for classes near them or contact the West Point Gun Club directly.

The West Point Gun Club offers the NRA Basic Pistol – Phase 2 training on a “As Scheduled” basis, meaning that we do not regularly schedule classes but instead offer the classes through individual appointments. Our classes will be small individual classes with one on one instructor training conducted at the West Point Gun Club range.
The costs of the class for non WPGC members is $50.00 for the first family member and $25.00 for each additional family member. The costs of the class for WPGC members and their family is $25.00 each.
