WPGC Rimfire Steel Match Announcement for WED, 01 FEB

Hello Shooters!

Our next match will be on WED, 01 FEB.  Don’t know waht the weather will be, but I’m hoping for it to be nice.  See you then!

Refer to http://www.westpointgunclub .com/shooting-programs/rimfire -steel/ for a description of these matches and equipment requirements. In addition, the Open class will be available. In addition to that, the Cowboy Class will allow two Single-Action revolvers to be fired “gunfighter style” (one in each hand).

Gates open at 8:30 a.m.; match starts at 10.

WPGC – Cowboy Match & Stages – Saturday Jan 28th, 2017

The Mattaponi Sundowners will be holding their monthly 4th Saturday match, this Saturday, January 28th, 2017, at the West Point Gun Club.

The match will start shooting at 10:00 am with the gates opening at 8:00, registration running from 8:30 till 9:30 and the mandatory safety meeting at 9:45. The cost of the match is $15.00 for non members and $0.00 (free) for members of WPGC. Additional information is available on our web site at www.WestPointGunClub.com.

The current weather forecast looks good for Saturday but we will send out an update on Friday morning with the final GO / NO GO decision. The email update will come out either way.

The Mattaponi Sundowners held their monthly 3rd Sunday match today at the West Point Gun Club.

Congratulations to Stogie as our Top Overall Shooter!!!! Congratulations to Kuba Kid, Loco Hombre, Smackwater, Swifty McDraw and Will Sonnet as our Clean All Day Shooters.

West Point Double Action Cancelled

The Jan 12th West Point Double Action Match is cancelled.

Even though the weather forecast is great for that day the range conditions will not be.

The Mattaponi Sundowners are planning on shooting their monthly 3rd Sunday match, this coming Sunday, January 15th, 2017, at the West Point Gun Club.

The match will start shooting at 12:30 with the gate opening at 10:00, registration running from 10:30 till Noon and the mandatory safety meeting at High Noon. The cost of the match is $15.00 for non members and $0.00 (free) for members of WPGC. Additional information is available on our web site at www.WestPointGunClub.com.

We have two issues to deal with, the weather conditions and the range conditions, both of which should be good by Sunday but….

We will send out a GO / NO GO email on Friday by end of day. The email will be sent either way, so please check your email on Friday evening.

The stages have been written by Flatboat Bob and are attached in PDF format. There are two documents, one with the stage directions and one with the stage drawings.

WPGC Rimfire Steel Match Scores for 04 JAN 2017

Greetings Shooters!

Finally, here are the scores from our match on WED, 04 JAN 2017! It was a great day for shooting the first match of the year. Weather was cool, but the sun did come out for a few minutes.

Congrats to Kidd at Heart and NNG for their win of the Limited and Open classes, respectively. And congrats to Beartooth, Nuttmegger, Kidd, NNG, Vaquero, Bryan, Swifty and Tripp for shooting clean. Want to welcome Swifty McDraw back after a long absence.

I’d like to take this opportunity to thank all the shooters who have participated in these matches last year and look forward to having more fun this year. I also want to express my appreciation for everyone pitching in to help set up and take down the targets and tables; it really helps.

Our next match will be WED, 01 FEB, hope to see you all then.
